1921-1967
The Amerian Petroleum Refinery was established in 1921. It was established by the Egyptian government to refine the Atah crude and was commissioned and started production in 1923.

It included two refining plants with a capacity of 200, 800 tons per day and a device for the production of asphalt, which produced about 1,000 tons per day, about 300,000 tons annually of petroleum products, representing 8.5% of the consumption of Egypt at that time. 1.5 million tons in 1954.


In 2/1/1962, the President of the Republic issued Decree No. 226 for the year 1962 establishing Al-Nasr for the manufacture of petroleum and the production of petrochemical materials with an authorized capital of LE 30 million.


In 9/10/1962 the decision of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) to integrate the government petroleum refinery in Suez into Al-Nasr for the manufacture of petroleum and petrochemical production, and adopted it by the Republican Decree No. 992 for the year 62.


In December 30, 1962, the Board of Directors of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation issued a resolution to change the name of Al-Nasr for the manufacture of petroleum and production of petrochemicals to the Suez Company for the manufacture of petroleum

Distillation Units

The operating system has been developed to Windows Server 2003 and Oracle databases upgraded to the latest Oracle 11 class to serve the largest number of financial, technical, administrative and engineering departments with the latest software and applications with the required speed and accuracy.
